Site Visits
Item:
Make site visits to meet with Owner, architect, builder, audio/video
dealer-installer, and other key project personnel to establish design
direction, present drawings, review/inspect construction progress, and/or
to test and calibrate the final installation.
Relevance:
There's no substitute for hands-on involvement with the professionals
"in the trenches." Site visits can catch mistakes before
the walls are sealed up; find solutions to unexpected problems with
field conditions; answer questions and provide background information
and context so that non-acoustic experts get a feeling for how the
room's many "subsystems"--its framing, insulating, sealing,
sheathing, wiring, plumbing, ducting, acoustical outfitting, equipment
locations and so on--fit together to provide a coherent whole that
lifts the home entertainment experience to new levels of enjoyment
and immersion.
Form:
Personal visits by Keith Yates and/or other staff.
