Detailing Architectural Features
Item:
Detail architectural features—wainscot, doors, moulding, bookcases,
etc.—in ways that turn them into assets in the overall acoustic
plan.
Relevance:
To ensure stylistic flow, many architects and interiors designers
prefer to introduce into the A/V venue various design features from
other rooms in the home—e.g., wainscot, paneling, columns,
pilasters, doors, crown moulding, and so on. These elements can limit
the quality of the A/V experience or enhance it, depending on the
room designer's skill and ability to see the room as a whole, not
just isolated patches of wall space available for acoustic materials.
Keith Yates Design Group has been turning common architectural features
into devices that actually improve the room's acoustic performance
for many years. We can issue design documents and/or shop drawings
to make sure that the room reaches its potential, both visually and
acoustically.
Form: Dimensioned, computer-generated drawings.
